Hi, I am Marcia, the owner of Vogue Salon & Spa. If we haven’t met yet, you can find me either still working behind the chair from time to time, or on the floor helping my team formulate, sweep, or even just ripping foils. I grew up in a very small town in Northern Michigan before the internet, cell phones, or social media existed. We only had 3 channels on our family TV, and as the youngest child in my home, that meant that I was last to pick a Saturday morning cartoon. So instead of watching Thundercats, I often spent my weekends outside playing in the woods with my cousins, exploring and creating my own realities.

We spent endless hours outside, creating fairy villages, forts, finding treasures, exploring new paths, climbing trees, laying in the leaves, and talking to the animals. My love of animals started at a very young age and I had a large family of “pets”, including cats, a dog, rabbits, hamsters, a turtle, fish, geese, a parrot, and an occasional frog or salamander. I tried to teach our family dog to write, my cat to talk, and played dress up with my kittens, me as their “mom” wearing makeup from the Mary Kay samples I found in my own mother’s bathroom vanity.

I am fortunate to say that after all of these years, I am still playing “dress up” as a stylist and salon owner. I absolutely love empowering woman by giving them a boost of confidence, whether that is behind the chair as their stylist, or as their leader and boss. It is my life’s passion to see woman succeed in life, and truly believe in the power of a good haircut.

As far as my love for nature and animals, well I am still going strong. As a cruelty free salon, Vogue ensures that we never use products that are tested on animals or harm them in any way. That includes their environment and resourcing only products that are sustainable and protects their eco system. We proudly participate in recycling and water reduction services, making our carbon footprint less impactful. After all, we believe that Beauty is what Beauty does.

Thank you for supporting my small woman owned business and being a part of my journey. I am grateful to say that I have lived a life of great adventure. A portion of all of our retail sales goes directly back to help our community to the following charities:
